Students will tackle interactive code puzzles, learn to apply computational steps, and build exciting projects with code blocks.
They'll create their own games and animations, understanding key programming concepts such as sequencing, repetition, and events, with a blend of digital and "unplugged" activities.
Designed for students ready to advance their computational thinking and block-based coding skills. Participants will build sophisticated projects, including a Maze game and a variety of single and multi-player arcade and sports games. We'll explore advanced concepts such as 'repeat until' loops, conditionals, data structures, and mathematical operators, complemented by "unplugged" activities.
This course provides a smooth transition from block-based programming to foundational text-based coding. Students will explore script writing with p5.js to develop engaging animations and interactive games. We introduce core Python concepts, including variables, data types, string manipulation, and loops. Closed out with "unplugged" activities.
This engaging program introduces students to the exciting world of robotics and coding using Micro:bit, a pocket-sized programmable computer. Through hands-on experiments and block coding, students will explore the Micro:bit's built-in sensors, including an accelerometer, light sensor, and motion detector, to create fun and practical projects.
